Restoration - phase II

The 2nd phase took place in 2000 with a further grant of £98,000 from English Heritage

• Repairs to and redesign of all remaining high level gutters, upstands and parapets, including new lead gutter bottoms and outfall chutes, flashings and soakers.
   
  
• Replacement of all remaining flat roof coverings, including new insulation, flashings and outfall chutes.
   
  
• External repointing to brickwork and movement cracks to those areas omitted from Phase I works.
   
  
• Complete removal/stripping out of the remaining vaulted ceiling structures below the flat roofed areas.
   
  
• Removal of further sections of internal timber panelling considered at risk due to water action/rot.
   
  
• Reinstatement, including repairs, of all internal timber panelling removed as part of Phase I works.
